From highly gifted students who find a regular classroom setting too limiting to students who want a customized coaching approach to shine academically, we work with students to maximize both their learning experience and their self-confidence.

Application process

1. Review the application

Review the application and student handbook and gather materials you need to submit:

  • Student essay
  • Request for student records
  • Letters of recommendation
  • $125 application fee

2. Student Essay

Please have your student answer the following questions in a maximum of 300 words.

The essay must be uploaded to the application site before you can submit.

  • What have you done to prepare yourself for a new school year, both in and out of the classroom?
  • What do you hope to contribute and accomplish over the next three–six years?
  • Why do you want to attend MSS?

3. Request for student records

A physical parent/guardian signature is required for the release of student records. Please request and sign a Release of School Records form from your student’s current school and have them return the educational records to Main Street Scholars.
