Liz Camarena West is bilingual in Spanish and English. She was born in Jalisco, Mexico, and obtained a degree in Psychology from the Western Technological Institute of Higher Education. In May 2020, she graduated with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University. She decided to focus on educational psychology, which includes the emotional, social and cognitive learning processes of children. She has a passion for innovating education and helping students to be successful.

Mrs. Camarena-West has taught all levels of Spanish at Main Street Scholars for the past six years. All those years have been significant for her working experience but, more important, for her cultural knowledge. In addition, she has worked and volunteered with children and teenagers in Mexico, Canada, Nepal, and now in the USA, giving her a full view of how each student is different and unique.
