Sabina Khan-Ibarra is an educator and writer. She is a San Francisco State University Graduate with an MFA in Creative Writing. She has a Bachelors in Political Science from Cal State East Bay with a minor in English. Sabina has worked as a Junior High and High School Teacher in Santa Clara, where she taught her favorite school subjects, History and English. She also taught Creative Writing at San Francisco State University. Sabina also serves as Board Member for a racial and social justice education organization called Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative.

Sabina’s favorite part of being a teacher is having robust conversations in which everyone involved learns something new. She encourages her students to ask questions and share ideas. She is excited to join a school that focuses on honoring and fostering students’ strengths.

Sabina was raised in Fremont, California, and currently resides in Half Moon Bay, living in the house where her husband (and his mother) was raised, with her husband, two children, five hens, four rabbits, and two cats.
