Production Schedule: Rehearsals: Begin October 15th and will run Sun-Thu 7-10. There will be a Thanksgiving break from Nov. 21-24 Tech Week (mandatory attendance): November 25-28; Preview Performance November 29 Run: November 30-December 23 (Fridays & Saturdays: 8 PM curtain, 7PM call; Sundays: 2 PM curtain, 1PM call)
Cast of Characters: Jo March: 15 years old. Jo, a tomboy, is emotional, theatrical, funny, and a talented writer. Amy March: 12 years old. Amy is an aspiring artist, who is a bit spoiled and self-concerned, but she has a good heart. Meg March: 16 years old. Meg is a strong, practical young woman on the cusp of adulthood. Beth March: 14 years old. Painfully shy outside of her family, Beth is a sweet, gentle homebody. Mrs. March aka Marmee: Late 30s to early 50s, Mrs. March is the family rock. She is a wise, loving, earth mother figure who is adored by her daughters. Hannah: 50+ years old, Hannah is the March family’s long-term housekeeper and trusted friend. Theodore “Laurie” Laurence: 15 years old, a newcomer to the neighborhood and grandson to Mr. Laurence, next-door neighbor to the Marches. John Brook: 18-20 years old. A studious, kind young man, John works as a private tutor to Laurie. Mr. Laurence*: 60+ years old Laurie’s grandfather whose gruff exterior hides a kind, generous spirit. Mr. March*: 40s-50s: Serves as an army Chaplin and is absent for most of the play. Gentle and kind, he is beloved by his family.
